Mobile App Auto-Logout With Local Notifications

When the mobile app is functioning with the fallback local notifications mechanism, you will be automatically logged out in the situations listed below.

NOTE: Auto-logout does not apply to mobile apps with full push notifications. With push notifications, the user is always kept logged in, and logout will occur only if the Desigo CC server is restarted.

Auto-Logout After 48 Hours

You will be automatically logged out when 48 hours have elapsed since your last sign-in:

  • When the 48 hours are about to expire, you will receive a notification, either inside the app, if you are interacting with it, or in the notification area of your device.
  • Then you will be logged out. To continue working with the app, you will have to sign in again.

Auto-Logout When App is Stopped

You will be automatically logged out if the mobile app is no longer able to run in the background. Specifically:

  • When you explicitly close the app (using the back button, or by swiping it off the 'recent apps' or 'app switcher' trays).
  • When you turn off the mobile device or force-stop the app.
  • If a power-saving mode or other utility on the mobile device prevents the app from running in the background.
  • On an iOS device, when you switch away from the app (that is, bring another app to the foreground), you will be logged out when the mobile OS stops the app.
NOTE: You will not be automatically logged off when you switch away from the app (that is, put the app in the background) on an Android device.

Auto-Logout After Loss of Connectivity

You will be automatically logged out in any situation where the mobile app is unable to communicate with the Desigo CC server for more than 10 minutes.

  • When the device loses its network connection (Wi-Fi or 3/4G) to the server for more than 10 minutes.
  • If a problem occurs that requires the Desigo CC server to be restarted.
